About Midstate Burglar Bars & Ironworks

George and Buck Frankling

Hello, my name is Buck Franklin and I would like to tell you about our company, Midstate Burglar Bars & Ironworks, Inc. We are located in Montgomery, Alabama and provide security doors, interior & exterior window bars, A/C cages, steel security gates & steel security fencing plus more to businesses and homeowners.

My father, George Franklin, was in the structural steel business for about 12 years and I worked alongside him learning how to work with steel, mainly through estimating and project managing. In about 1993, we closed Franklin Steel. Shortly thereafter, my father was offered a business that was started in 1985 by Bennett Denham, called Midstate Burglar Bars.

My father took the offer and the deal was done. At that time, my father was 64 and had no plans to retire. He worked the business hard, putting in countless hours and now 24 years later, he has turned the business over to me. My father is still involved in the business, mainly offering his expert advice. His philosophy has always been to do the job right the first time and not to cut any corners. It is that simple. Now that I am running the business, I will go by the same set of rules.

And now for a little about me, I am 60 and have been married for 32 years. We have two boys, Connor (22) and Tyler (18). I have always liked working in the steel business, so Midstate is a good fit for me. I also enjoy building rustic furniture out of old barn wood in my spare time.

At Midstate, we fabricate most everything we sell in-house. However, some items are outsourced in order to save the customer money. We are large enough and knowledgeable enough to help our customers solve their security needs, yet we are also small enough to provide excellent customer service. In today's time, it is a necessity to protect our property and most importantly, our family.

In closing, we really appreciate our customers and look forward to working with you in the future to help you protect your home or business.

Thanks,

Buck Franklin
