No. It would be a plus if the installer has some carpentry experience. There are installation instructions posted on our website.
Not at all. Our burglar bars at Midstate Burglar Bars & Ironworks are adjustable so they expand to fit your window. A little carpentry experience would be helpful but not neccesary. We have shipped to many customers and the feedback we get is "Very simple to install".
No. All you will need is a measuring tape, pad and pen. Our security doors are measured from the inside to inside of the brink molding (horizontal) and bottom of teh brick modling to the top of the threshold (vertically). Usually, doors are 32" x 80" OR 36" x 80", for example.
DOORS: Drill, 3/32 Drill Bit, 1/4" Drill Bit, 7/8" Hole Saw. Level, Measuring Tape, Phillips Head Screw Drive or Driver Bit.
BURGLAR BARS: Drill with Hammer Driver, 1/4" & 3/16" Masonary Bit, Regular Drill (Most are one in the same), Phillips Bit, We furnish the Torx Bit.
